How it Works
Everything starts with a 3D model of your design, which we can help you create provided there are not too many organic shapes (like realistic animal heads or designs with lots of compound curvatures). For complex pieces, consider commissioning a digital artist who uses zBrush or Blender, or use TinkerCad or Fusion 360 to model your own, and get extra savings!
Once your design is finalized in 3D, we’ll print it using PolyCast for the mid-resolution elements, and Formlabs Castable Wax resin for microdetails. Unlike conventional lost wax casting, which requires extensive labor costs creating the wax piece, we can print as many copies as necessary to guarantee you a quality casting.
We can then apply the finish of your choice: polished, brushed, sandblasted, thick oxide, thin film (rainbow) oxide. If you have needle files, sandpaper, and access to a polishing wheel or other abrasive, you can save big doing the final cleanup yourself.
